Where is Christensen Ridge Winery?On 211 acres of the Blue Ridge six miles from Madison, Virginia, about 85 miles from the Washington Beltway, 34 miles from Charlottesville, VA, and 7 miles from Graves Mountain Lodge. The romantic three story log cabin has one bedroom, an entertainment room with queen sized hide-a-bed, a living room with fireplace, a kitchenette, a mountain-side deck, and a sunrise side porch. Both the main house and cabin are air-conditioned and have DirecTV. Directions to Christensen Ridge WineryFrom Northern Virginia take the beltway to I66 west, go to Gainsville and take 29 south to Madison, Virginia. Take the 29 Business exit toward downtown Madison. Go about one half mile. At the intersection of State Route 29 and State Route 231, turn sharply right onto Scenic Route 231 (see the Graves Mountain Lodge sign). Take Route 231 north four miles, turn left on State Route 651 and go two miles. Turn right on Route 652 and go one tenth of one mile. Turn left on Route 698 and go seven tenths of one mile to the winery. On your way, you will travel through a farmyard and an Angus bull pasture. From Charlottesville, travel north on 29 to Madison, VA. Go through the old town to the north end and turn left on Scenic Highway 231 and follow directions in the above paragraph.
